From the small hamlet Mornerona in Invorio, a town dating back to ‘800, starts a path among the woods leading to two important historic towns.
On the peak of the first hill the Cevola farmhouse is met, with its court, its oven and a peculiarity that can be seen on one side of the building: it’s an ancient stone apse which was part of a single nave church. The church, connected to the Benedictine Cluniac monastery of Biella, was later decommissioned and annexed to the large house where a plate, walled on a side, reminds of the centenary Luigi Catilina (1866 - 1966) who lived here.
Proceeding along the path another hill is met, and on its peak the Castellazzo farmhouse was built. Today it’s completely abandoned, but once kept large frescos testifying the importance of this building.
