The itinerary develops in the territory of Masera, in a constant succession of rural landscapes, characterized by houses made of stone and cultivated meadows, and among large villas and rustic houses that show the wealth of those rich people from Ossola who came back to their lands to enjoy the outcome of their enterprising activities abroad.

The itinerary crosses some of the towns that grow on the sweet south slope. These inhabited towns are rich in testimonies of that farmer civilization that lived and cultivated the earth, leaving spontaneous architectures like the wine presses of the community and the prestigious grape vines of Masera.

The itinerary begins from the historical center of Masera, passes by Villa Castelli and develops among the ancient mule tracks that connect the towns of Bondolo, Casa Brencio, San Rocco and Rivoira, reaches lake Onzo and its damn and proceeds in the woods towards Sant’Antonio, Quartavolo, Merro, Piazza and Bironi.
