This trail crosses some amazing little towns, facing lake Maggiore. Leaving from Stresa, well-known touristic city, it goes up a little, among the woods, revealing a rural and natural world that you couldn’t imagine while passing on the road along the lake below.

The walk starts from Stresa’s train station and proceeds along the cobblestone road in hamlet Passera, reaching the towns of Brisino and Magognino. The trail then passes through the woods of Calogna and goes down offering a wide view on lake Maggiore and on the amazing town of Belgirate.

We suggest leaving a second car at the arrival, to get back to Stresa easily. Otherwise you could take a train or a ferry boat.
