This walk offers a lot of panoramic views on lake Orta, crossing ancient rural villages and chestnut woods.
From Pella the trail follows the paved mule track until San Giulio mountain, from this point you can proceed along the asphalt road (as in the GPX track) or along the steep trail.
Close to the town’s church there is the first panoramic view on San Giulio Island and Orta’s promontory. Back on the mule track and among the woods the trail reaches Egro, Cesara locality, and goes down along a step until Egro’s cross. The cross is on top a rocky spike that dominates lake Orta, offering an amazing panorama that spans from Gozzano until Omegna. The Buccione tower and Mottarone’s peak can be seen in sunny days.
The trail then goes up to Egro and towards Grassona, reaching Colma. From this point it goes down along a mule track until Ronco, a typical village facing the lake with its narrow paved roads. Leaving Ronco it proceeds along the council asphalt road that reaches Pella.
